‘On-Together: Summer Studies’ DLC Brings Summer Fun & Big Upgrades

On-Together, the viral virtual co-working game, surprise launched their first premium DLC in time for the summer holidays and it is an absolute blast. The Summer Studies DLC arrives almost six months after its initial launch, bringing a fresh wave of content and major quality of life upgrades whether you own the DLC or not.

Let’s dive into the free updates for starters.

Together with the summer update comes a brand new way to focus. Players can now use all existing focus activities in the ocean, and choose between two types of floaties: a donut float or a bed float. To top it off, there’s a brand new pet that all players can unlock, Karetto the Caretta Sea Turtle.

There are also non-summer themed cosmetics that have been added to the base game. From cozy bathroom and self-care inspired looks, to classic witchy fashion, you can now customise your avatar with a whole wardrobe of new hats, bags, hairstyles, and more without paying a single extra cent.

Most importantly, the summer update comes with major quality of life upgrades to the base game. Now, you can share your pomodoro timer and sync up with friends in the same server. It’s completely optional whether or not you want to share, and whether or not others want to join. You can also hit tab to see which ones are available to join.

Not only that, On-Together has finally added the highly requested mini map feature, so you can easily find your friends on the island. While I’m going to miss the chaotic energy of describing your location in the text chat, it definitely saves you from playing an unintentional game of hide and seek each time you join a new server.

A few additional quality of life upgrades round up the free summer update. The old Swan Boat model has been replaced with a new and improved version, the camera is no longer locked when fishing, and the level cap for players has been increased to Level 60, for those who take their productivity very, very seriously.

The paid DLC adds sharks as one of your possible catches

Now let’s talk about the paid DLC.

For the low price of RM10.99, the Summer Studies DLC easily offers more content than you pay for, especially in the cosmetics and pets department. For starters, players will receive a whole new line of summer outfits, from bikinis and beach hats, to diving suits and beach sandals. This doesn’t even include the DLC-exclusive floatie designs, which consist of everything from watermelons to flamingos.

For the pet collectors, On-Together added three new DLC-exclusive pets: Mantana the Manta Ray, Octako the Dumbo Octopus and Gullito the Seagull. They can be unlocked by trying some of the new water focus activities, like doing sit-ups on your bed float, or drinking from a coconut while sitting in your floatie. (And if you ever need more help unlocking the new pets, you can read our guide here.)

If that wasn’t enough, the Summer Studies DLC also adds ten unique sharks that you can try and catch across the island, new summer-themed desks and decorations, and ten new bossa nova, calypso, and beachy tracks for even more summer vibes.

With the huge number of productivity games in the market right now, On-Together has always stood out for their level of care and value for money. Even though its free summer update is already sizeable, the DLC-exclusive cosmetics and additions are more than worth your money. Hopefully, this also means we’ll get to see more regular content updates coming to On-Together in the future.
