The upcoming television anime adaptation of Kyousuke Motomi’s Dengeki Daisy will premiere in January 2027 and run for two consecutive cours, according to a new promotional video unveiled at the KyoMAF event.
The main trailer also introduced four additional cast members:
- Tomokazu Sugita as Sōichirō Kurebayashi
- Yuka Terasaki as Riko Onizuka
- Setsuji Satō as Masuda
- Kōhei Amasaki as Akira
Dengeki Daisy follows Teru Kurebayashi, an orphan who loses her older brother and finds comfort in messages from DAISY, a mysterious person she can contact through the cellphone her brother left behind.
Meanwhile, Tasuku Kurosaki, a mysterious school janitor, repeatedly appears whenever Teru needs assistance. As their relationship develops, Teru begins to wonder whether DAISY may be much closer to her than she realizes.
Motomi launched Dengeki Daisy in Shogakukan’s Betsucomi magazine in 2007. The manga concluded in 2013, with Shogakukan releasing the 16th and final volume in February 2014.
