Anime Festival Asia Officially Announces Return to Hong Kong In 2026

Anime Festival Asia (AFA) is officially announcing its highly anticipated return to Hong Kong. Known as Anime Festival Asia Hong Kong 2026, the event will take place on 14-15 February 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, offering an exciting weekend of Japanese pop culture experiences for local and international anime fans.

Since 2008, Anime Festival Asia has established itself as one of Asia’s biggest Japan pop culture conventions, delivering over 17 years of outstanding ACG experiences. Anime Festival Asia also previously collaborated with Hong Kong’s C3 Japan Anime & Game Expo from 2017 to 2019, bringing spectacular events such as “I Love Anisong” to local audiences.

Major event highlights include:

  • An Exhibition Hall built around rich and immersive content that celebrates every facet of Japan pop culture. By collaborating directly with major anime production houses, music labels, and entertainment agencies, AFA brings the latest trends, upcoming titles, and creative innovations straight from Japan to Asia.
  • A Day Stage showcasing special screenings, live-dubbing sessions, talk shows, and industry announcements that make each edition unique. This dynamic mix of entertainment and interactivity ensures that every AFA experience is not just about shopping for collectables, but about being part of a vibrant cultural celebration that brings anime to life.
  • The prestigious AFA Music Festival, featuring a stacked line-up of international music acts that will give Anime Festival Asia fans in Hong Kong a rare chance to connect directly with their favourite artistes and songs.

Through these three pillars, AFA not only showcases Japan’s creative excellence but also fosters cross-cultural exchange, giving fans unparalleled access to Japan’s entertainment scene.
