The Failure at God School, a popular manga series written by author Hyuuganatsu, is officially getting an anime adaptation. Hyuuganatsu is best known as the author of the highly acclaimed historical adventure The Apothecary Diaries.
Set in a world where those with supernatural powers can train to earn the title of a god, the series follows Nagi Hibiya, a young girl who initially believes she has no powers of her own. After unexpectedly waking to her abilities, Nagi is unwittingly enrolled into a training school for gods.
The original series was written by Hyuuganatsu and illustrated by Modomu Akagawara, and is available in both manga and light novel formats. The manga specifically has sold over 1.7 million copies.
