Sony Pictures Animation’s latest film, K-Pop Demon Hunters, debuted to wide acclaim on Netflix on June 20. The film has gone to #1 on Netflix in over 26 countries, with all eight songs on its soundtrack also charting globally on Spotify.
K-Pop Demon Hunters follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, who have to balance their idol duties with their secret identities as demon hunters. The film is brought to life by an all-Korean cast of talented actors from both the U.S. and South Korea, as well as a roster of international musicians who provide the characters’ singing voices.

Rumi voiced by Arden Cho & EJAE

Rumi is voiced by Arden Cho, whose breakout role was playing Kira on MTV’s Teen Wolf. After leaving she show, she went on to appear in TV and streaming series such as Miss 2059, Chicago Med, and Partner Track, with her most recent role being June in the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Vocal producer and arranger EJAE provides Rumi’s singing voice. A former SM Entertainment trainee, EJAE has written for some of the biggest K-pop idol groups, including Red Velvet, NMIXX, Le Sserafim and Aespa.
Mira voiced by May Hong & Audrey Nuna

The voice of Mira, May Hong, is primarily known as a model who has worked for designers such as Eckhaus Latta, Marc Jacobs, and Gucci. She has appeared in TV shows such as Broad City, High Maintenance, and New Amsterdam, as well as playing the lead role in Netflix’s Tales of the City.
Mira’s singing voice is provided by Audrey Nuna, a singer and rapper who has worked with artists such as Jack Harlow and Teezo Touchdown. Her music video for her song Locket was nominated for Best VFX at the 2024 Berlin Music Video Awards.
Zoey voiced by Ji-young Yoo & Rei Ami

Zoey is portrayed by Ji-young Yoo, an American actress who recently played Megan in the live-action adaptation of Until Dawn. Yoo previously won Best Performance in a U.S. Narrative Feature at the 2023 Tribeca Festival for her performance in Smoking Tigers.
The character’s singing and rap vocals are provided by Rei Ami, best known for her song Freak, which went viral on TikTok, with over 3.5 million videos using its audio. She released her debut mixtape, FOIL, in 2021.
Bobby voiced by Ken Jeong

Bobby’s voice actor, Ken Jeong, is probably best known to most millenials for playing Leslie Chow in the Hangover film series, and Ben Chang in the sitcom Community. Outside of acting, he has been a judge for both the American and British versions of the reality show The Masked Singer, and currently hosts the game show I Can See Your Voice.
Celine voiced by Yunjin Kim and Lea Salonga

The girls’ mentor, Celine, is portrayed by Yunjin Kim, an actress best known for starring in all six seasons of Lost. She has also appeared in Korean movies such as Ode to My Father, Confession, and Dog Days, as well as appearing in the Netflix series XO, Kitty.
Her singing voice is contributed by Lea Salonga, a Broadway actress who rose to fame for playing the title role in Miss Saigon. Salonga also famously provided the singing voice for Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan in their respective films.
Gwi-ma voiced by Lee Byung-hun

The demon king Gwi-ma is voiced by Lee Byung-hun, also known as the formidable Frontman from Squid Game. He has appeared in Korean films such as Saw the Devil, Masquerade, and Concrete Utopia, as well as American productions such as the GI Joe films and Terminator Genisys.
Jinu voiced by Ahn Hyo-seop and Andrew Choi

The movie’s secondary antagonist Jinu is played by Ahn Hyo-seop, a K-drama actor best known for playing Kang Tae-moo in Business Proposal. He has also appeared in other K-dramas such as A Time Called You and Lovers of the Red Sky, and is set to play Kim Dokja in the live-action adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.
Jinu’s singing voice is provided by Andrew Choi, a singer and composer who has worked on songs for K-pop boy groups such as Day6, NCT 127, and Monsta X.
Romance Saja voiced by Joel Kim Booster and samUIL Lee

Romance Saja’s voice comes from Joel Kim Booster, an actor and comedian who has appeared in shows such as Shrill, Search Party and Sunnyside. He is a co-producer and writer for Big Mouth and The Other Two, and also wrote, produced, and starred in Fire Island, a modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
The character’s singing voice is provided by songwriter samUIL Lee, who has worked with K-pop groups such as Seventeen, RIIZE, and NCT Dream.
Mystery Saja voiced by Alan Lee & Kevin Woo

Mystery Saja is played by Alan Lee, a voice actor who has appeared in the English dubs of various anime series, including Mashle: Magic and Muscles, Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture, and Sakamoto Days.
His singing voice comes from Kevin Woo, 33, a former member of the K-pop boy group U-KISS, who debuted as a soloist in 2018. He has also appeared in stage plays such as Maybe Happy Ending and Altar Boyz, and made his Broadway debut in the musical KPOP.
Abby Saja voiced by Sungwon Cho and Neckwav

Abby is played by Sungwon Cho, otherwise known as ProZD, a content creator and voice actor who is best known for his roles in English dubs of popular anime series, including Ranking of Kings, Solo Leveling, and Beastars. His most recent roles include voicing Doug in the videogame Date Everything.
His singing voice is provided by Neckwav, a vocalist and producer best known for his song Without You.
Baby Saja voiced by Danny Chung

Baby Saja is voiced by Danny Chung, a rapper, songwriter, and A&R (talent scout) signed to THEBLACKLABEL. He has written songs for K-pop idols and groups such as BLACKPINK, CL and Somi.
Healer Han voiced by Daniel Dae Kim

Last but certainly not least, Lost and Hawaii Five-0 star Daniel Dae Kim plays the shady doctor Healer Han. His most recent roles include starring in comedy movies like Always Be My Maybe and Joy Ride, as well as playing Fire Lord Ozai in the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender.
