Capcom Launches Street Fighter 6 And Kunitsu-Gami On Nintendo Switch 2

Capcom has officially launched Street Fighter 6: Years 1–2 Fighters Edition and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess as part of the debut lineup for the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 in Southeast Asia.

Gamers in Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines can now experience these critically acclaimed titles on the go, with enhanced features tailored for the new console.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 joins the Nintendo Switch 2 with the Street Fighter 6: Years 1–2 Fighters Edition, which includes all 26 characters from Years 1 and 2, multiple costume color variants, and 20 stages. It also comes with a variety of new features:

  • Local Wireless Match – One on One: Battle friends wirelessly with any Street Fighter 6 character.
  • Local Avatar Match: Use personalized avatars from the World Tour mode for unique matchups.
  • Tabletop Mode: Take fights on the go using Joy-Con 2 controllers in tabletop mode.
  • Gyro Battle: Use motion controls for an immersive fighting experience.
  • Calorie Contest: A fitness-inspired mode that tracks player actions to build Calorie Gauges through physical movement.

Capcom has also launched a line of Street Fighter 6 Amiibo figures featuring Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly, along with a Starter Set of Amiibo Cards, which includes all 22 Year 1 fighters. These unlock in-game content such as costumes and control presets.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess also joins the Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup, now with updated controls and performance enhancements that utilise the Switch 2’s handheld and tabletop versatility. These include:

  • Portable Play: Experience the full game in handheld, tabletop, or TV mode.
  • Mouse and Gyro Controls: New input methods for dynamic gameplay.
  • “Otherworldly Venture” Content: A wave-based survival mode with rewards and leaderboard potential, also available as a free update on all platforms.

This version also includes all prior content updates, such as the Okami collaboration, which brings themed costumes, weapons, and music into the game.
