Japanese Superstar Ado Signs with WME For International Agent Services

Japanese superstar Ado has signed with WME for worldwide agent services in all areas, excluding Japan. WME is the world’s preeminent talent agency, known for their work on tours and appearances for a roster of stars including Adele, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Snoop Dogg, and more.

Ado is a 23-year-old utaite singer who rose to international prominence with her 2020 major-label debut “Usseewa,” which sparked a massive cultural phenomenon. Her first studio album, Kyougen, and her vocal work as Uta in ONE PIECE FILM RED – where she performed all seven of the film’s chart-dominating tracks, including the global hit “New Genesis” – solidified her status as a generational talent.

After making history as the first female solo artist to perform a standalone headline show at Japan’s National Stadium, Ado launched herself onto the global stage as Japan’s premier musical export. Her 2025 “Hibana” tour drew more than 500,000 fans worldwide and brought her across five continents, spanning Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America; and cemented her as the first Japanese artist to sell out prestigious Western arenas like Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena and Newark’s Prudential Center.

Earlier this month, Ado was announced as the performer of “Monstruo,” the official theme song for the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of BLUE LOCK, the bestselling soccer manga phenomenon that has become one of Japan’s most successful modern franchises. The film will open on August 7 in Japan.
