The popular anime series “Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!” is set to return for a second season. The news was first announced at the “Tsuwabuki High School Literature Club’s Extracurricular Activity” fan event in Akishima.
“Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!” is based on a light novel series by Takibi Amamori, with illustrations by Imigimuru. The story follows Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a seemingly ordinary high school student, who finds himself entangled in the romantic woes of several popular girls who are all experiencing heartbreak.
The light novel series, which is currently still ongoing, won the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award in 2020, and subsequently began publication in July 2021. It has also recieved a manga adaptation by Itachi, titled “Make Heroine ga Ooisugiru! @comic,” which launched in Shogakukan’s Manga ONE service in April 2022.
The first season of the anime adaptated featured a stacked voice cast, including Shuichiro Umeda as Kazuhiko Nukumizu, Hikaru Tohno as Anna Yanami, and Shion Wakayama as Remon Yakishio, among others. The series was directed by Shotaro Kitamura at A-1 Pictures.
