The highly anticipated anime series Gachiakuta, based on the manga by Kei Urana with graffiti art by Hideyoshi Andou, will be releasing this July 2025. The production of this battle-action series will be handled by Bones Film, with Medialink Group overseeing distribution in Asia.
Gachiakuta tells the story of Rudo, a boy born into the slums of a society where the descendants of criminals live. After being falsely accused of a crime, Rudo is cast into the Pit, a dark and dangerous place where only the strong survive. Rudo will now have to master a new power and team up with a monster-fighting group known as the Cleaners in order to seek vengeance against those who framed him.
The Gachiakuta anime series will feature a stacked voice cast, with Aoi Ichikawa (Ruggie from Twisted Wonderland) starring as Rudo, and the supporting cast featuring Katsuyuki Konishi (Diavolo from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Enjin, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke from Demon Slayer) as Zanka, and Yumiri Hanamori (Ai from Kaguya-Sama Love Is War) as Riyo.
Music for the anime will be provided by Taku Iwasaki, a renowned composer known for his work on Bungo Stray Dogs and Shin Kamen Rider. Iwasaki promises to bring the Gachiakuta universe to life with music that reflects the chaos and intensity of the world, describing his compositions as “dirty, noisy, and loud,” much like the world Rudo inhabits.
The anime will premiere in Japan on Sundays at 11:30 PM JPT, starting in July 2025. For regions licensed by Medialink, further updates on the broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming months.
