Indonesian game developer Pikselnesia and indie label Fellow Traveller have officially released Afterlove EP, a slice of life, music-focused adventure about learning to live after a loved one has passed. The game is the swan song of Mohammad Fahmi, the late, beloved creator of Coffee Talk and What Comes After.
Set in the bustling urban capital of Jakarta, Indonesia, you play as Rama, a young musician working on his first EP. Rama has more than just chord progressions to contend with, however, as he struggles to move on from the passing of his girlfriend, Cinta, whose voice he continues to hear in his head.
With just one month to go until a critical gig for him and his band, will Rama be able to get serious, get his (literal) groove back and create the new songs he’s been promising his bandmates in time?
Across 28 days and nights, players will navigate tricky decisions and gorgeously rendered side-scrolling paths through the city to help Rama move forward. Through a unique mix of visual novel, dating sim, and rhythm gameplay, Rama will embark on new relationships and try to repair existing ones, while coming to terms with the past and learning to shape a future for himself.
Players will also be able to experience a true love letter to modern Indonesian culture, with the game featuring manga-inspired art from famed Indonesian artist Soyatu and an original soundtrack from pop rock band L’Alphalpha.
Afterlove EP is now available for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 with a 10% launch discount on all platforms. Those on Nintendo Switch who own at least one other Fellow Traveller game can enjoy a 15% discount.
