Kojima Productions gave fans their first glimpse at gameplay from Death Stranding 2: On The Beach during an exclusive showcase at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA., Director Hideo Kojima was also joined by host Geoff Keighley for a panel discussion featuring voice actors Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and Troy Baker.
The event marked the first stop of the Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2, a series of events commemorating the launch of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, which are set to take place at 12 locations worldwide. A full recording of the Los Angeles event can be found here.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach follows Sam as he embarks on an inspiring mission of human connection. Joined by old companions and new comrades, he sets out on a journey beyond the UCA, traversing a world beset by otherworldly enemies to save humanity from extinction haunted by the question: should we have connected?
The game features a star-studded cast, with Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker returning to Kojima’s genre-defying universe, alongside newcomers Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Academy Award-winning film director George Miller. On the technical side of things, Yoji Shinkawa will direct character and mechanical design, with Ludvig Forssell and Kyle Cooper reprising their roles as musical director and title designer, respectively.
