Appropriately themed “Cyberspace”, the event is set to be AniManGaki’s first online event across multiple platforms, namely Facebook, Youtube, and Twitch. Best of all, you’ll be able to enjoy a total of 50+ hours of livestreams across three days from AniManGaki and their various content partners.
If that sounds good to you, keep reading for some event highlights you’ll want to tune in for!
Draw along with Nishii Terumi, a freelance animator from Japan who’s worked as an animation director and character designer on beloved titles such as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, Netflix’s Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac, Mawaru Penguindrum and so much more. She’ll be hosting a panel from 5.00pm to 6.00pm on the 23rd of August.
A virtual Youtuber and a virtual event—sounds like a match made in heaven to us! This first-generation Vtuber from local talent agency MyHoloTV will be making an appearance at AniManGaki Online, from 8.30PM to 9PM on the 23rd of August. You’ll definitely be sucked in by this ancient vampire’s charms.
A self-titled “doodle artist” who loves injecting Malaysian culture into his works, Kendy will be hosting a panel of his own during the event. Watch him draw a variety of anime characters from memory!
AniManGaki Online 2020 will also be hosting a variety of other activities, including a panel by local game studio Metronomik, who will be showcasing their upcoming game No Straight Roads just a few days ahead of its official release on August 25. For the more artistically inclined, the MY Comics Community will also be organizing an East Meets West Art Jam during the event.
For those looking for some extra fun, you’ll be able to play a game of Quiplash2 alongside some mystery guests. Plus, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for AniManGaki’s lucky draw, where you just might stand a chance to win prizes worth up to RM500!
Of course, the event won’t just be for fun and games, as there will be many opportunities for fans to pick up new skills as well. Learn balloon sculpting from Supa Dupa Circus, origami from the Malaysia Origami Association, and even how to make delicious mantao from I Have Sweet Tooth.
