The final episode of the Marriage Toxin television anime announced on Wednesday that the series will return for a second season in 2027. The news was accompanied by a promotional announcement video released by the anime’s staff.
Based on the manga by Jōmyaku and illustrator Mizuki Yoda, Marriage Toxin blends action, comedy, romance, and assassination intrigue into a unique story centered on Hikaru Gero, the heir to the Poison Masters family.
Hikaru has spent his life isolated from ordinary relationships, but when his family’s succession becomes a crisis, he resolves to find a solution that protects his sister from a forced marriage. His search leads him to Mei Kinosaki, a talented marriage swindler who unexpectedly becomes his advisor in the most difficult mission of his life: finding a wife.
The anime premiered on April 7 and aired on Tuesdays through Kansai TV and Fuji TV’s “Ka-Anival!!” programming block. Muse Asia handles distribution of the series in Southeast Asia.
