Muse Asia has revealed a major milestone for its latest April season title, MARRIAGETOXIN. Since its premiere on April 7, the series has quickly become one of the distributor’s most popular new titles, with the first three episodes collectively surpassing 2 million views across Muse’s YouTube platforms.
Based on a manga by creator Joumyaku and illustrator Mizuki Yoda, MARRIAGETOXIN follows Hikaru Gero, a Poison Master, who is forced to enter the world of matchmaking in order to continue his family’s bloodline. During a mission, he unexpectedly meets Mei Kinosaki, a marriage swindler who was supposed to be executed. The two strike a deal, with Mei Kinosaki acting as his matchmaking advisor, forming a partnership that leads to a dangerous and unpredictable matchmaking journey.
The main cast features Haruki Ishiya as Hikaru Gero, the ultimate Poison Master, and Shion Wakayama (known for voicing Momo in DAN DA DAN and Takina Inoue in Lycoris Recoil) as Mei Kinosaki, the top-tier marriage swindler. Animation for the series is produced by BONES, the studio behind works such as Daemons of the Shadow Realm, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, and My Hero Academia.
New episodes of MARRIAGETOXIN are released every Tuesday evening across Muse Asia’s platforms. The series is also available on YouTube with English, Malay and Chinese subtitles.
