‘Marriage Toxin’ TV Anime Comes To Your Screens This April 2026

The popular manga series Marriage Toxin, created by writer Jōmyaku and artist Mizuki Yoda, is officially making the leap to the small screen. The 47th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed that the television anime adaptation is scheduled to premiere in April 2026.

The story centers on Gero, an elite assassin belonging to the deadly Poison Clan. Despite his lethal skills, Gero is determined to avoid any kind of commitment — until his sister is ordered to abandon her true love and produce the clan’s next heir. In a desperate bid to help his sister, Gero seeks out an unlikely ally: Mei Kinosaki, a notorious marriage swindler. Can Kinosaki can truly turn this master of mayhem into a successful husband-to-be?

The anime is bringing together a stellar team to bring the action and comedy to life. Leading the cast are Haruki Ishiya as the protagonist, Hikaru Gero, and Shion Wakayama as the cunning marriage swindler, Mei Kinosaki; while on the production side of things, the series is being directed by Motonobu Hori (Carole & Tuesday) at Bones Film, with Taisei Iwasaki (Belle) and Yuma Yamaguchi (Metallic Rouge) composing the score.

Marriage Toxin originally launched on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app in April 2022. The series quickly built a passionate following, with Shueisha recently publishing the 15th compiled book volume on October 3. International readers can keep up with the story in English on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus app.
