Shueisha Games has announced that JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, its survivors royale game developed in collaboration with Vampire Survivors creator poncle, has been delayed from its previously planned 2026 release to 2027.
The announcement comes alongside a second trailer and confirmation that the game will receive its world-first playtest at Tokyo Game Show 2026, beginning September 17.
Battle Against Cursed Spirits and Rival Players
JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON brings characters from JUJUTSU KAISEN into poncle’s distinctive pixel-art style.
The online survivors royale supports up to eight players, who must battle waves of Cursed Spirits while competing against one another. Players grow stronger throughout each match and fight to become the last player standing.
The development team is using the additional time to further improve the game, with more information on the new release date to be announced later.
Eight Bosses Await Players
The second trailer showcases additional playable characters and bosses that will be featured in the Tokyo Game Show playtest.
The full lineup of eight bosses includes:
- Naoya Zen’in
- Kenjaku
- Junpei Yoshino
- Jogo
- Mahito
- Uraume
- Eso
- Toji Fushiguro
These bosses will challenge players during the TGS 2026 demo.
Create Custom Builds With “Unite Build”

The game also introduces its own take on the build-focused gameplay associated with Vampire Survivors through the “Unite Build” system.
As characters level up, players can improve their chosen character’s abilities while incorporating techniques from other characters into their builds. This allows players to create different attack combinations and experiment with fighting styles inspired by multiple allies.
World-First Playtest at Tokyo Game Show 2026
Visitors to the JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be able to experience the game’s online battle royale mode for up to eight players.
During a match, players earn points while fighting Cursed Spirits and competing against the other participants. The two players with the highest scores will then advance to a final showdown to determine the champion.
As the playtest version is still undergoing adjustments, Shueisha Games will also conduct an on-site survey to collect feedback from participants.
