Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War – The Calamity Final Episodes Delayed To October

The final two episodes of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War – The Calamity have been delayed to mid-October, announced via the series’ official website and social media. Episode 49 will now air on Japanese TV this October 19, while episode 50 will air on October 26.

The statement reads: “Thank you very much for your continued support of the TV anime Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Regarding the broadcast and streaming schedule for Episodes 49 and 50, we have decided to change the broadcast and streaming dates and times in order to further improve the quality of the series as we approach the climax, and to deliver the final episodes to everyone in the best possible form through the final episode.”

In place of the delayed episodes, Japan’s TV-Tokyo network will air a “climax selection” of selected Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War episodes, tracing the rivalry between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach as the series gears up for their final showdown. A similar schedule is expected to roll out across other broadcasters.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is an animated adaptation of the final arc of the Bleach manga series, which began airing from October to December 2022. Its current and final cour, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War – The Calamity, began airing earlier this July.
