Dice N Dine: Malaysia Day Edition brought tabletop players together at LaLaport BBCC on 12–13 September, with local card game store Quantum Nexus Kuala Lumpur joining the weekend with a lineup of Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons activities.
With their next major event, Spellbinder 2026, just around the corner, Dice N Dine also gave Magic: The Gathering players a chance to get back into the competitive spirit ahead of an even bigger weekend of tabletop action.
Throughout the weekend, Quantum Nexus ran several Magic: The Gathering activities, including Learn-to-Play, Draft on Demand, and tournament play. One of the highlights was the Spellbinder Highlander I0K Preview Tournament, putting players to the test ahead of the upcoming Highlander 10K Tournament at Spellbinder later this October.
Looking Ahead to Spellbinder 2026
Dice N Dine may be over, but the tabletop action isn’t slowing down. Quantum Nexus is gearing up for Spellbinder 2026, Malaysia’s first-ever dedicated event for Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, which takes place from 1st – 4th October at LaLaport BBCC, with free entry for everyone.
The main event will be the Highlander 10K tournament, welcoming Commander players to battle it out for a chance at some seriously exciting prizes. For collectors and fans of Final Fantasy, Marvel and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, there will be even more reason to join in, with Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond bundles among the prizes up for grabs. But the Highlander 10K is only part of the day. Spellbinder will also feature other tournaments, casual play, Learn-to-Play sessions, memorabilia exhibits, student activities and community-driven events, giving both seasoned players and newcomers plenty to check out.
