Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway is officially getting a sequel, titled The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, set to be released in Japanese cinemas on January 30, 2026. The film will also recieve a theatrical release in regions outside of Japan, though international release dates have yet to be announced.
Kensho Ono, voice of protagonist Hathaway Noa, commented: “Hathaway is a man who questions the world itself — torn by doubts about what justice means and what he is truly fighting for. He suffers in solitude as he struggles with those questions, while Gigi’s presence grows ever larger, spiraling out of control. Is it the world that’s gone mad, or is it something else? I hope you look forward to seeing the answer unfold on screen.”
His co-star Junichi Suwabe, who plays Kenneth Sleg, also shared:“Thank you all for your patience — I’ve been eagerly waiting for this moment myself. The second chapter of Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway is finally here! The trailer alone gave me goosebumps with its escalating tension. The story of those swept along by destiny moves forward once again. Please look forward to it!”
The Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway films are based on a series of novels from Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, following the rebel leader Hathaway Noa, the son of Bright Noa from the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime. The first Hathaway film was released in June of 2021, where it grossed 2.23 billion yet at the Japanese box office.
