Swedish game studio 10 Chambers is marking its 10th anniversary in style with the release of a new behind-the-scenes documentary for its highly anticipated sci-fi heist game, Den of Wolves. The studio, founded in 2015, is giving fans a deep dive into the creative vision for their upcoming cooperative thriller, showcasing how the team is building upon its legacy of tense action games.
The new documentary short offers an exciting look at the development process, featuring conversations with key team members interspersed with fresh gameplay footage. Developers discuss how their past experience with successful titles like GTFO, Payday: The Heist, and PAYDAY 2 informs the creation of Den of Wolves, an action-packed co-op experience set in the corporate-dystopian metropolis of Midway City. In the game, players will operate as criminals-for-hire, navigating a world where corporate power rules all.
A major focus of the documentary is the studio’s meticulous approach to world-building. The team has gone to great lengths to make Midway City feel like a believable, lived-in place. This includes the staggering task of creating over 300 fictional corporate brands and designing the city’s towering megastructures, which draw inspiration from both brutalist architecture and the dense, chaotic atmosphere of the former Kowloon Walled City.
Oscar J-T Holm, co-founder of 10 Chambers, emphasized the importance of this detail, stating, “We’re putting in a lot of work and time to make Midway a believable city. Even though it’s not an open-world game, having the backdrop and knowing every brand building and brand you see has a purpose, gives the gameplay more value as well.”

To officially celebrate their 10-year milestone, the studio has also launched a special website featuring a complete timeline of their history. The site, found at www.10chambers.com/10years, includes a collection of old photographs and previously untold stories from the studio’s journey.
Robin Björkell, Communications Director at 10 Chambers, shared the studio’s candid approach to the anniversary, commenting, “Personally, I think it’s pretty lame of corporations to believe anyone would be interested in them having their anniversary… But we started looking back and found some fun pictures and stories, so we decided to put this website up to make it publicly available. There are some interesting stories there, I believe, that have never been told before.”

Beyond celebrating their history, the 10 Chambers team is also currently running a massive “Streamathon”. This ambitious 100-hour livestream involves the GTFO developers and their community attempting to complete the entire game. The initiative isn’t just for fun, however; it aims to raise awareness and funds for the International Association for Suicide Prevention, a cause that is personally meaningful to many members of the studio.
Fans eager to experience the next chapter in 10 Chambers’ legacy can now wishlist Den of Wolves on Steam.
