- No Monster Criticals: Monsters cannot deal critical strikes. Automatically unlocked, applies negative difficulty rank multiplier if enabled.
- No Turn Limit: Exceeding the stratum time limit has no consequences. Automatically unlocked, applies negative difficulty rank multiplier if enabled.
Over 25 New Skills
- 25 new skills have been added , including active and passive skills.
- Also includes 7 new skills that are upgrades of existing skills only attainable by skill development.

Gameplay Updates
- 10 New Monsters: These are scattered in a variety of stratums and include a new boss that can appear instead of the normal first stratum boss.
- 12 New Items: 10 of these are equipment, while 2 are consumable items. Examples include a hammer that causes an explosion each time it hits, hitting both enemies and party (for less damage).
- 1 New Unique Ally: Something approaches with benevolent intent…
- Stats Screen: Logbook now includes a stats page, including some stats of your runs, for example, highest difficulty rank achieved and total wins.
- 12 New Achievements: Examples include defeating the final boss while fully powered, killing each of the sealed door bosses, and winning a game with a certain minimum difficulty rank.
- Tuning: A number of skills have been tuned, with their tiers reduced or increased. Some skills have been buffed (for example, any skill that triggered when landing killing blow triggers on whenever monster dies instead), while some have been nerfed (railgun now requires ammunition, but is faster and has significantly reduced TP cost). Some monsters and bosses have been also tuned.
- New Music: Includes ending track as well a post-boss track.
