Justdan International has announced Dinghai: The Ocean Pillar, an action RPG roguelike coming to PC via Steam in 2026. The game is set within the mythical world of the “Classic of Mountains and Seas,” where ancient gods, demons, and forgotten powers collide.
Dinghai brings that world to life through an ink-wash visual style, fluid dual-weapon combat, and a Roguelike structure built around an epic narrative. You play as the Abyssal Dragon, a once-legendary general who was stripped of his name, exiled, and killed in battle. Now walking the mortal world once again, he carries centuries of unsung regret that he is determined to resolve.
Combat in Dinghai is built around the freedom to switch between two weapon types at any point in battle. Equip one melee and one ranged weapon before entering a run to maximize versatility, or go all in for either melee or ranged weapons for extreme builds. No two runs through the mythic landscape play the same way, from new ability combinations, to new enemies drawn from ancient legend, and new choices that compound across the run.
Gameplay Features
- Dual-weapon combat: Switch freely between two weapon types in the middle of a fight and build run-specific synergies that grow more complex with every attempt
- Roguelike structure: Procedurally varied runs, persistent progression, and a mystery that reveals itself incrementally across deaths
- World of the Classic of Mountains and Seas: Storm-torn peaks, hidden celestial islands, and landscapes shaped by divine conflict, all rendered in an ink-wash art style
- Layered narrative: A story of betrayal, obsession, and identity, told in fragments across each run through the mythical world, shaped by ancient gods and forgotten powers.
