Capcom has shared new updates on PRAGMATA, its upcoming sci-fi action-adventure game scheduled for release in 2026. The information was revealed during the Capcom Spotlight livestream on 26 June, offering players the first in-depth look at the game’s setting, characters, and combat mechanics.
Set in a mysterious lunar facility, PRAGMATA features a hybrid combat system that merges puzzle-solving and real-time action. The story centers on two protagonists: Hugh Williams, a systems auditor clad in a space suit, and Diana, an android girl made entirely of a futuristic material known as “Lunafilament.”
Story Overview
In the near future, decades after the discovery of a revolutionary lunar ore called “Lunum,” a lunar facility conducting research on the substance suddenly loses all contact with Earth. Hugh Williams, part of the investigation team sent to the Moon, is injured during a catastrophic lunar quake. He is rescued by Diana, a “Pragmata” android created from Lunafilament. Together, they must uncover the truth behind the disappearance and find a way back to Earth.
Lunafilament, derived from Lunum, has the unique ability to replicate both the form and function of objects, making it central to both the narrative and gameplay.
Main Characters

- Hugh Williams: A skilled systems auditor responsible for security operations. He uses a variety of firearms in combat and is driven by a sense of duty, tempered by his blunt demeanor.
- Diana: A highly intelligent android capable of hacking into the facility’s systems. Though her behavior is often childlike, she plays a crucial role in both the story and gameplay.
Gameplay Features
PRAGMATA introduces a unique blend of action and hacking mechanics. Players will switch between direct combat with Hugh and system manipulation through Diana. During encounters with armored bots, players must trace strategic paths on a hacking panel to remove armor and expose weak points for attack.
In addition to combat, players will explore the lunar environment using Hugh’s thrusters and Diana’s hacking to solve environmental puzzles and bypass locked systems. The lunar surface is patrolled by autonomous AI and populated with eerie, lifeless bots, adding to the game’s desolate atmosphere.
