During the recent Capcom Spotlight livestream, Capcom officially announced Resident Evil: Requiem, the latest instalment in the Resident Evil series and the ninth entry in the mainline series overall. The game is scheduled for release on Thursday, 27 February 2026.
Set in a ruined Raccoon City, Requiem will feature a new protagonist named Grace Ashcroft. It will also feature enhanced graphics and innovative gameplay that allows players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives in real time.
During the Capcom Spotlight, the Requiem development team, including director Koshi
Nakanishi, shared a special video message which showcased brand-new gameplay
footage, and offered insight into the game’s core themes. The game aims to highlight the “core fear” experience that defines the Resident Evil series.
Resident Evil: Requiem will launch on 27 February 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series
