The ACS EDU Tour has officially returned for its fourth season, continuing its mission to develop grassroots esports and promote educational engagement across Malaysian campuses. Organized by CRIT Esports Malaysia, the tournament builds on the success of Season 3, which set records and expanded its reach nationwide.
Season 3 of the tour was recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the Largest Varsity Esports Tournament, with participation from 109 universities and 1,744 teams. The season also included the ZTE|nubia Scream for Charity Drive, which raised RM10,000 for the “Monsters Among Us” anti-bullying charity.

Season 4 sees a continued partnership with Tencent Games Malaysia, featuring Honor of Kings — named Google Play’s Best Game of 2024 in Southeast Asia — as the tournament’s official title. Matches will take place across 13 states and 3 federal territories, with 16 university teams per state competing in a national bracket.
The competition is expected to reach 110 campuses from June to November 2025, with the Grand Finals scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur. Winners will receive a share of the RM200,000 prize pool and be offered semi-professional esports contracts to join CRIT’s official Honor of Kings team.
Key sponsors for this year include MAGGI as its official instant noodle partner, Vico as its official chocolate malt drink, ZTE|nubia as its a smartphone partner, and OneOne serving as the official in-game recharge partner. The tour will also continue its Scream for Charity initiative, and will expand its scope to include programs that support female gamers and para-athletes, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity in esports.

In parallel, CRIT is relaunching its CRITFluence program , a student influencer recruitment campaign that onboarded 1,000 participants last year. The initiative provides selected students with branding opportunities, merchandise, and potential income streams, while helping partners expand their reach among youth audiences.
This year introduces the In-Season Cup, a regional tournament where Malaysia’s top university teams will compete against counterparts from other ASEAN countries. This aims to provide players with international exposure and raise the level of collegiate esports competition in the region.
The ACS EDU Tour is supported by the Malaysia Electronic Sports Federation (MESF) and Esports Integrated. More information can be found on the tour’s official website.
