Entertainment magazine Deadline reported on Wednesday that Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo and Roman Reigns are in talks to star in Legendary’s live-action Street Fighter movie. The film is set to be helmed by Kitao Sakurai, director of the 2021 Netflix film Bad Trip.
While no official casting has been reported thus far, most fans have speculated that Koji and Centineo are being considered for the roles of Ryu and Ken, respectively. Borys Kit, a writer for The Hollywood Reporter, shared that Momoa will play Blanka, while wrestling podcast Fightful Select alleged that Reigns is set to play Akuma.

Andrew Koji is best known for starring in TV series such as Warrior and Gangs of London, as well as films like Bullet Train and Boy Kills World. His potential co-star Noah Centineo found his breakout role in the teen rom-com To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, but has also taken on action-packed roles for Black Adam and The Recruit.
Jason Momoa is possibly the highest-profile performer on the list thus far, having starred in blockbusters such as Game of Thrones, Aquaman, and Dune, as well as the recent Minecraft live-action movie. Roman Reigns, meanwhile, is primarily known as a wrestler under WWE, but has appeared in films such as 2019’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
More details on the live-action Street Fighter movie are expected to be revealed soon. In the meantime, fans can expect to see some new Street Fighter 6 content when the game hits the Nintendo Switch next month.
