Honkai: Star Rail‘s new Version 3.1 update, “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne”, will arrive on February 26. In a preview livestream, we also got our first look at two new characters, Tribbie and Mydei, who will be coming to the game in Version 3.1.
So, should you pull for these two? Here’s what I think:
Tribbie
In Phase 1, our cute and adorable Harmony character, Tribbie, will be flying to your PC by rocket, and her kit is insane. With resistance penetration, follow-up attacks, and quantum damage instances, she competes with Ruan Mei and Robin, the top-tier supports we currently have. Having her will make your Honkai: Star Rail journey incredibly smooth.
Would I say she’s the best support ever released in Star Rail? Personally, yes. She can tackle any endgame content effortlessly, without breaking a sweat.
This is a must-pull for me! It’s a tough choice, especially since most players just pulled for two top-tier DPS units— The Herta and Aglaea —but I’d still rate her an 11/10 must-pull!
Mydei
In Phase 2, our immortal, unkillable, and undeniably hot male, Mydei, will be making a superhero landing into the Honkai: Star Rail world! And as a playable character, that means my wallet might just be gone.
To briefly explain what Mydei does, imagine Blade, but better. He can self-revive, self-heal, and dish out over 300k damage (as of 14/02/2025, that’s a massive amount). Most importantly, he doesn’t get knocked out in 10 cycles!
After looking at his kit, I can confidently say he isn’t a high team-cost character. You’d just need Remembrance MC, a Harmony support, and an extra slot. Hear me out — Lynx would be a great choice since she increases the aggro of your damage dealer, which in this case is Mydei.
Overall, I would give him a 7/10 in terms of priority when it comes to pulling.

Personally, I would prioritise Tribbie since I adore Harmony characters, and Tribbie’s kit is something I couldn’t miss. I’m sorry, Mydei — I might pull for you during a rerun.
