The 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards took place this past February 13, where the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences honoured the best video games released in 2024. 60 games were nominated for awards in 23 categories, with Astro Bot taking home the coveted Game Of The Year title.
The ceremony also saw two presentations for honorary awards, with the first going to Don James, the former Executive Vice President of Operations for Nintendo of America ,who received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Nintendo and the charity Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The second went to Ted Price, the president and founder of Insomniac Games, who received the Hall of Fame award for his contributions to game development and advocacy for video game creators’ First Amendment rights.
