Neoshoco’s supernatural comedy manga Phantom Busters is getting a television anime adaptation, with the series scheduled to premiere in 2027. The announcement was made through a newly launched official website on September 24, accompanied by a commemorative illustration from Neoshoco.
The story follows Eugene Korekishi, a top-performing student who does not believe in ghosts, and Mogari Shishikuno, an exorcist who can consume spirits. Although Mogari cannot see ghosts himself, the pair eventually encounter someone with the ability to perceive them, and establish an exorcist club at their school.
Neoshoco launched Phantom Busters in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine in 2023. The seventh compiled volume was released in Japan on February 4, while the eighth volume is scheduled for October 2. The manga has surpassed 1.4 million copies in circulation, including digital editions.
