From October 1 to December 31, Astro is set to host Malaysia’s first dedicated Pokémon TV channel, dubbed the Pokémon Pop-Up Channel (Channel 121). Happening in conjunction with Pokémon ‘s 30th anniversary, all Astro, NJOI and Sooka users can tune in to watch at no additional cost to their existing subscriptions.
The Pokémon Pop-Up Channel will feature over 600 English-language episodes of the Pokémon anime, spanning 13 different shows, including Pokémon: Indigo League, Pokémon: The Johto Journeys, Pokémon the Series: XY, Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, and Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.
Each show will be broadcast in chronological order, with eight episodes airing from Monday to Friday each week. Fans will also be able to catch episodes on-demand via Astro On Demand, Astro Go, and Sooka.
For those looking for even more Pokémon content, Astro is also currently airing a Malay-language dub of Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series, available every Thursday and Friday at 3PM on Astro Ceria (Channel 611).
