‘Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Finale’ Announced as Franchise’s Final Chapter

Kadokawa has officially announced Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Finale, the concluding installment of the long-running Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya anime series. The new project is scheduled to premiere in 2027 and will serve as the franchise’s final chapter.

The upcoming film continues the story following Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya: Licht Nameless Girl, which premiered in Japanese theaters in August 2021. Alongside the film’s announcement, a teaser visual was unveiled, confirming the project’s title and release window.

The film will reunite the voice cast from previous entries in the franchise. Returning behind the scenes is Shin Ōnuma, who once again directs the project at SILVER LINK. Ken Takahashi returns in the newly introduced role of series director, while Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase are back to write the screenplay. Kazuya Hirata also reprises his role as character designer.

Created by Hiroshi Hiroyama, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya reimagines Illyasviel von Einzbern from Fate/Stay Night as the heroine of an alternate-universe magical girl story. The original manga debuted in Comp Ace magazine in 2007 before spawning multiple sequel manga and anime series, all expanding on the unique spin-off timeline.
