Cerebal Electronic Sports Club’s inaugural Women Esports Championship concluded successfully after two days of thrilling competition at the LaLaport BBCC Exhibition Hall, bringing together female gamers, esports enthusiasts, content creators and members of the local gaming community.
Held from 27 to 28 June 2026, the championship showcased Malaysia’s growing commitment to developing opportunities for women in esports. Competitors battled across four featured game titles: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Street Fighter 6, and eFootball, with a total prize pool of RM12,000 up for grabs. After two days of thrilling action, top teams and players emerged as the winners:

Beyond the tournament matches, attendees enjoyed a lively programme of entertainment and special appearances. Popular influencers Pudds and Snowstorm energised the crowd with live performances, while visitors looking to get in on the gaming action themselves could try out a variety of free-to-play games, including a showcase for the Malaysian-made fighting game GigaBash.
The event was hosted by Dungeon Mother Kir and Fiera Fendi, whose energetic stage presence guided audiences through the tournament schedule, player introductions and entertainment segments. At the same time, guest commentators RynOrtega and Fasyabunny delivered expert match analysis and engaging play-by-play coverage that kept spectators invested throughout the competition.


A key highlight of the championship was an address by Muhammad Naim Al-Amin bin Saharudin, President of the Malaysian Esports Federation, who emphasised the importance of creating more inclusive pathways for women to pursue competitive gaming. In his speech, he highlighted the federation’s continued commitment to nurturing local talent and strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional esports hub through greater diversity and wider community participation.
The successful conclusion of the Women Esports Championship marks another positive step forward for Malaysia’s esports industry. As female participation in competitive gaming continues to grow, events such as this provide an important platform for players to showcase their abilities, build connections within the community and inspire the next generation of women in esports.
