Announced during the recent Nintendo Direct, Capcom has revealed that Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will officially launch on Friday, 9th October 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Originally released in 2024, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an open-world action game that challenged players to choose their own experience, from their Arisen’s appearance and vocation to their party, how to approach different situations and more.
What’s New
The expansion DLC, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Expansion, compiles new elements to deliver a brand-new adventure through three additional contents:
The first is a new region, Norgan, which is blanketed in heavy snow and home to savage hordes and creatures of unbelievable power. The Arisen must join forces with the enigmatic Eir to unravel the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon.
The second is Lost Rites, a new challenge with 12 difficult dungeons to complete. Rare equipment once held by past Arisens lays dormant in the depths of these freshly uncovered unique dungeons.
Finally, new hairstyles and tattoos have been added to the Character Creator. Craft your Arisen and Pawns with precision before you embark on a fresh adventure.
In the lead up to the Dark Arisen Expansion, there will be two major updates to enhance the gameplay experience of the base game:
- The first update on 10 June 2026 makes fast travel more accessible with the addition of the reusable Eternal Ferrystone alongside other quality-of-life adjustments for various parts of gameplay.
- The second update coming at the end of August brings improved frame rates, additional save slots, and further refinements to the quality-of-life adjustments made in June.
