It was close to midnight when the Passion Republic office came alive with nearly 100 game developers, game enthusiasts, media, and content creators for one shared moment of celebration: the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, hosted for the second time in conjunction with Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.
The official watch party was once again hosted by THE MAGIC RAIN, a Malaysia-based gaming media outlet and event organiser best known for Indie Jam, and Passion Republic Games, one of Malaysia’s largest game development studios and the creators of Gigabash. After a few short words from Arief Johan, one of the co-founders and hosts of the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, the crowd settled in for an exciting showcase.

The Southeast Asian Games Showcase put on a stacked presentation this year, featuring 50 minutes of world premieres, exclusive announcements, and developer interviews from over 40 game studios with roots in the Southeast Asian region.
This included a Version 1.0 announcement for TCG Card Shop Simulator, developed by Malaysian studio O.P. Neon Games; a brand-new trailer for No Straight Roads 2, developed by Malaysian studio Metronomik; and a spotlight interview with Philippines-based Polychroma Games, ahead of their upcoming Until Then: Afterimages DLC.

Before the presentation, visitors also had the opportunity to play demos from Malaysian game developers that were featured in the Southeast Asian Games Showcase. This included Duo Quest by 1+1 Studios (which is launching soon on Malaysia Day), Late Night Duty by toastycedes, Kooeh: A Timeless Delight by Twilight Foundry Games, TCG Card Shop Simulator by O.P. Neon Games, and Gigabash by Passion Republic Games.
You can find these games and more in the Southeast Asian Games Showcase Steam event that is live now. Check out the full list of games in the showcase below, and don’t forget to drop them a wishlist:
