Envar Games today announced that Witchspire, its magical open-world co-op adventure, is now available in Early Access on Steam. Developed by Envar Games, a new studio formed under co-development specialist Envar (League of Legends, Overwatch 2), Witchspire is the team’s first original IP and debut multiplayer title.
Embark on a grand journey in a hand-crafted open-world teeming with threats, wonder and magic as you and your witchy friends aim to push back corruption that seems to be taking over. Create your very own spellcasting character, choose your coven and battle alongside your friends in co-operative multiplayer.
In Early Access, players will venture across two distinct biomes, by foot or broomstick, encountering all kinds of creatures. Raise wands, wield spellblades, and utilise powerful tomes to cast spells for combat or survival. Befriend and level up familiars of various rarities that will accompany you across your whole journey, assisting with crafting, resource gathering, and even combat.
Every aspect of the game is sprinkled with magic – hone your powers and tools for resource gathering, including calling down comets made of ore or empowered tools that clear forests in an instant. Then, put your materials to good use by creating your very own base and use Astral Projection to manoeuvre yourself as you build the witchy hangout of your dreams.
Gameplay Features
- From Foes to Friends: Over 30 familiars to bond with and more creatures to discover and battle. Level up your familiars and hone their skills as they team up with you in battle, crafting and resource gathering.
- A World of Adventure: Discover a large open world featuring the Meadows and Shuddersands biomes, each featuring hidden secrets, puzzles and unique creatures. Travel on your broomstick or on foot, boosted by abilities such as spirit jumps and blinks.
- Choose Your Coven: Begin by choosing your Coven and gaining a specialized starting outfit and passive boost, before collecting and crafting additional stat and aesthetic-boosting outfits throughout the game.
- Your Witch, Your Way: Define what sort of spellcaster you’d like to be, with an entire cosmos of customization options. Character customisation, levelling and the cosmic Luminaries tech tree allow for further hone your skills.
- Survival Made Magical: Gather resources and design your base with multiple building sets and trinkets to decorate with. Use astral projection to move freely as you build and let your creativity run wild.Witchspire is out now for PC in Early Access via Steam.
