The Resident Evil franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a new BABYMETAL clothing collection, bringing together the world-famous metal dance group and the iconic survival horror series. The limited-time collab features items such as The Ladies Tee, The Dolls Tee, Metal Outbreak Zip-Up Hoodie, The Ladies Acrylic Stand, and The Dolls Acrylic Keychain.
Each of the five items features artwork by two Capcom collaborative artists: illustrator Hinanana and graphic designer GOTO, both of whom have worked on various Capcom art, including commemorative art for the Resident Evil 30th Anniversary and the Street Fighter series. Pre-orders are available starting today until Friday, June 26 at 11:59 PM via the BABYMETAL Official Online Store.
The Resident Evil franchise is one of the world’s most popular survival horror series, having sold over 201 million units overall since its debut in 1996. The franchise’s most recent title, Resident Evil Requiem, is the fastest-selling Resident Evil game in the series’ history, with 6 million units sold within just 17 days.
Additional Resident Evil 30th Anniversary announcements are set to be revealed as the year of celebration continues. The BABYMETAL merch drop joins a slate of previously announced collaborations between Resident Evil and other high-profile brands, including Porsche and Hamilton.
