The renowned Japanese metal band BABYMETAL will be celebrating their 15th anniversary with a massive world tour, with performances slated throughout the year for Europe, Asia, and North America. In particular, the band’s performance at the O2 Arena in London is set to be their biggest-ever overseas show, with over 20,000 seats available.
The Malaysian leg of the tour will take place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur this October 6, becoming one of only four Southeast Asian locations on the list. The other three Southeast Asian tour stops currently available are Bangkok (August 24), Singapore (October 4), and Manila (October 8).
BABYMETAL is a Japanese metal band that consists of three members: Suzuka Nakamoto (“Su-metal”), Moa Kikuchi (“Moametal”) and Momoko Okazaki (“Momometal”). The group is known for their unique sound that blends J-pop idol music with heavy metal instrumentation, and are regarded as pioneers of the “kawaii metal” subgenre.
