During the recent Monster Hunter Showcase, Capcom revealed more details about Title Update 4 for Monster Hunter Wilds. The update went live on December 16th, 2025 which included new quests, new weapons, new support hunters, and new photo mode poses.
Get ready to take on the Elder Dragon Gogmazios!
An enigmatic Elder Dragon whose entire body is covered in a thick, black, viscous substance. Something resembling a ‘Dragonator’ appears to be embedded in its back. It is also known by the alias ‘Gogmazios’. For this special quest, up to four hunters can join forces with support hunters to form parties of eight. Team up with Nadia and Fabius to take down Gogmazios!
Use materials obtained from Gogmazios to forge new hunter armor and Palico equipment. Clearing the extra mission for Gogmazios will also unlock a permanent event quest for repeat play.
Gogma Artian Weapons have one set bonus skill and one group skill chosen at random. Gogma Reinforce also allows you to retain your reinforcement bonuses or — for those with loftier aspirations — reset your skills completely. The Reset Skills option allows you to use Gogma materials to reset the set bonus skill and group skill applied to a weapon.
Transcendence allows hunters at HR 100+ to upgrade armor even further. Transcending raises the limits imposed on Armor Sphere upgrades and powers up the decoration slots of Rarity 5 and 6 armor. You can also upgrade Rarity 8 Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons using materials obtained from Gogmazios.
Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad strikes in an event quest!
Face Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad in the ultimate hunting challenge! Using exclusive materials from Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad, you will be able to forge new hunter armor and Palico equipment. Hunters with HR 100 or higher are encouraged to take on this challenging quest. Starting Wednesday, 24 December 2025, Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad will be available as a permanent event quest.
New free quests added
High-difficulty quests featuring multiple 9★ monsters have been added. Complete these quests to receive special nameplates as bragging rights! Hunters can also try their hand at Hunting Exercises, which pit you against tempered 9★ monsters.
New Support Hunters
Wielding a light bowgun, Nadia will provide vital support in your fight against Gogmazios! Griffin, a great sword wielder from Ferrum Unit, and Nightmist, a light bowgun wielder from Aurora Unit, can also join you in battle.
New photo poses added
Four beloved poses from prior games will be available for free! In addition, Character Edit Vouchers and Palico Edit Vouchers will be distributed for free. These can be used regardless of whether you have already used the first free vouchers that were distributed at launch. Be sure to download them from each digital store after the update available now.
Paid Cosmetic DLC Pack 4 out now
The Cosmetic DLC Pack 4 is now available for RM88.00 for the whole bundle, inclusive of Hunter Layered Armor Set: Cosmoloid, Layered Bow: Cosmoloid Arrow, Layered Charge Blade: Cosmoloid Arms, Layered Dual Blades: Cosmoloid Wings, and Layered Great Sword: Cosmoloid Blade.

Upcoming 2026 updates
With Title Update 4, large-scale updates for Monster Hunter Wilds that include newly added monsters will conclude. Following the December release of Title Update 4, patches aimed at improving the stability of the Steam version will continue to be distributed, and a final update is planned for 18 February 2026 (Wednesday), which will include the addition of the ultimate Arch-tempered monster, Arch-tempered Arkveld!
To celebrate the release of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, collaboration content will be released, featuring special Palico layered armor to dress up as the royal Felyne Rudy, who adventures alongside the protagonist, as well as a special charm.
The winning weapon and charm designs from the Original Weapon & Pendent Design Contest will also be added to the game!
