In celebration of Malaysia Day, THE MAGIC RAIN brought two days of fun to LaLaport BBCC with Dice N Dine: Malaysia Day Edition! Held on 12–13 September from 11AM to 9PM, the event brought together tabletop gamers, hobbyists, and curious newcomers for a weekend of games, activities, and community.
Quantum Nexus Kuala Lumpur brought plenty of action to the tabletop throughout the weekend, running both Magic: The Gathering activities and Dungeons & Dragons sessions. MTG players could take part in Learn-to-Play sessions, Draft on Demand, and tournament play, including the Spellbinder Highlander IOK Preview Tournament.
Meanwhile, D&D sessions gave both newcomers and experienced adventurers a chance to sit down, roll some dice, and jump into an adventure together.
Beyond the card games and RPG sessions, board games were a big part of the weekend too. A wide selection of games was brought in for visitors to try, whether they were longtime tabletop players or simply curious to see what was on the table. With games available to pick up and play, there was always something for visitors to discover between sessions.
The weekend also featured a lineup of local vendors, including Funemployed Ray Studio, nPips Games, Mystical Phenolics, Ku Play, Malaysia Boardgame Store. From board games and tabletop products to other hobby finds, the vendors gave visitors another way to explore the local tabletop scene and discover something new to bring home.
Across the weekend, LaLaport BBCC was filled with players sitting down for games, discovering new hobbies, and meeting fellow tabletop enthusiasts. From competitive card games to casual board games and tabletop adventures, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you to everyone who came down and celebrated Malaysia Day with us! We look forward to seeing you at the next iteration of Dice N Dine. In the meantime, follow us on Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook for the latest updates and announcements.
