The winners of the 2026 gamescom awards were officially announced on Friday, 28 August, with a slew of coveted trophies presented across a total of 19 categories. The big winners of the night were CD PROJEKT RED and SEGA, snagging three trophies each; followed by Capcom and Ubisoft, who each won two awards.
Games Done Quick was honored with the HEART OF GAMING Award. The charity speedrun event has raised over 50 million dollars for good causes in the past, with this year’s event set to donate all proceeds to Gaming for Democracy, an initiative that promotes democratic values and social engagement through gaming culture.
