Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Welcomes Persona 5’s Joker

Get ready to steal some hearts—and some first-place finishes! Sega has officially announced that Joker, the stylish protagonist of Persona 5, is joining the roster of the high-octane crossover racer, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. The Phantom Thieves’ leader will be available as a playable character starting Wednesday, October 22.

To celebrate the arrival of this fan-favorite character, the game will host a special Joker Festival event. This thrilling limited-time event will run from Thursday through Sunday, starting each evening at 8:00 p.m. EDT. As with previous in-game festivals, players should note that the World Match mode will be temporarily unavailable during this period.

Looking ahead, Sega is keeping the pedal to the metal with exciting content planned for the future. The company has announced partnerships with other major game publishers for upcoming DLC:

  • Bandai Namco Pack (Early 2026): Features Pac-Man, the Ghosts, and the iconic Pac-Village.
  • CAPCOM Pack (2026): Features Mega Man, Protoman, and a track based on Dr. Wily’s Castle.

In the meantime, players are already enjoying the Minecraft DLC pack, which launched on October 9, adding Steve, Alex, Creeper, and a Minecraft World themed track to the mix.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It also confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch 2, with a physical release featuring the full game on the cartridge following in early 2026.
