Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s Acolab is once again hosting a themed anime experience, this time based on the popular series Demon Slayer. Having visited a number of Acolab events in the past (check out our Solo Leveling event experience here), we jumped at the opportunity to check out this latest event, and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
Upon stepping into the venue, we found ourselves instantly transported into the world of Demon Slayer with immersive sets recreating scenes from the anime. Our favourite was no doubt Muzan’s Infinity Castle, which came complete with props and character cutouts adorning the walls and ceiling.
All that excitement worked up our appetites, so we thankfully also had the chance to try out Demon Slayer-inspired dishes at the Acolab cafe. Visitors can choose between four different mains or two desserts, with the option to upgrade mains to a meal set, which adds on a drink and a selection of event merchandise.
We chose the Nezuko and Inosuke meal sets, which arrived adorned with cutouts of their respective characters. Nezuko’s dish is a Bamboo Soba that combines soba noodles, a Caesar-inspired cream sauce, and a side of miso soup, while Inosuke’s Tempura Feast is a Japanese curry rice and prawn tempura dish. Both dishes were accompanied by a berry and Fuji apple fizzy drink respectively.
Last but certainly not least, the Acolab merchandise store has also been revamped with a selection of officially licensed Demon Slayer goods. This includes a limited amount of collector-grade items, making it a highlight die-hard fans won’t want to miss.
All in all, it’s definitely a fun experience for any Demon Slayer fan out there, especially those looking to spice up their Instagram or TikTok feed with a unique food picture or OOTD backdrop. If you’d like to pay a visit yourself, check out the event details below!
