Xsolla recently celebrated a resounding success at their Unreal Engine Meetup hosted at Xsolla KL earlier this month. In collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Circle Studio, Ammobox Studios, and Epic Games, the event brought together passionate developers, industry experts, and gaming enthusiasts for a day filled with inspiring keynotes and exciting announcements.
The highlight of the event was the networking session, where more than 30 different companies and over 100 attendees gathered to explore potential partnerships and collaborations.
The event also served as an introduction for the Xsolla Curine Center of Excellence, a collaboration between Xsolla and Curine to support aspiring game developers across Malaysia. Namely, a specialized one-year program in the Game Development Academy designed by Xsolla’s team of experienced professionals.
The program aims to close the skill gap by preparing students for employability and life in the industry, with curriculum developed by top teaching talent from the gaming industry. The Game Incubator will provide mentorship for every aspect of game development, focusing on the importance of business and marketing skills. Participants will be guided in developing and applying these skills to their games, and preparing them for the Accelerator program.
Meanwhile, the Accelerator program is dedicated to indigenous studios and talents aiming to establish a successful business with the support of bridge funds and mentorship.
This event marks a significant step for Xsolla as they continue to make strides in supporting the game community in Malaysia. Through the Xsolla Curine Center of Excellence, they hope aspiring developers look forward to honing their skills and accessing unique opportunities within the Unreal Engine ecosystem.
