Looks like Jujutsu Kaisen is the latest franchise to get the Fortnite treatment! The new in-game event, “Break The Curse!” is happening now until August 25 exclusively for the Battle Royale game mode — complete with new skins, abilities, and reward tracks based on the popular anime franchise.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen event!
New Quests: Free & Premium Reward Track
Much like the previous Star Wars and Dragon Ball collaborations, the Jujutsu Kaisen in-game event features both free and premium Reward Tracks. Completing “Break The Curse!” quests will earn you Cursed Energy which you can use to unlock all 11 reward tiers. Players who go the extra mile and collect all 5 Sorcerer Grades tokens will also unlock a Nue glider.
If you purchase the Premium Reward Track for 1,000 V-Bucks, you will automatically receive the Streetwear Yuji Itadori skin and extra rewards for every tier completed.
New Skins: Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki & Satoru Gojo
Jujutsu Kaisen’s main protagonist, Yuji Itadori, will be getting two new skins under the event’s Premium Reward Track. As mentioned, you will automatically receive the Streetwear Yuji Itadori skin when you upgrade to the Premium Reward Track, while Yuji’s Jujutsu High Uniform skin is unlocked when you complete the Premium Track.
Meanwhile, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki and Satoru Gojo are also getting a Fortnite makeover. Unlike Yuji Itadori’s skins which are locked to the Premium Reward Track, these three character skins can be purchased individually in the Item Shop.
New Cursed Techniques: Straw Doll & Hollow Technique: Purple
What’s a new event without new abilities? Throughout the event, search for Cursed Llamas roaming around the island and break them to drop two cursed techniques: Straw Doll Technique and Hollow Technique: Purple.
The Straw Doll Technique is a swift hammer combo that launches nails filled with cursed energy, while Hollow Technique: Purple is a powerful ability that erases buildings in its path and deals damage over time to enemies.
