We Tried The Solo Leveling Café & Exhibition Experience At Pavilion Bukit Jalil

ACO Lab, an anime themed-café in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, is currently collaborating with the webtoon and anime series Solo Leveling until 11th March 2025.

We had the opportunity to visit, and from the food, to the interior design, to the exhibition, the collaboration was incredibly well thought out and made with love and attention to the detail of the series. Here’s what our experience was like:

Solo Leveling Exhibition Walkthrough!

Upon arrival, the walls were decorated to look like a dungeon with realistic torches ignited with blue flames, a nod to the iconic double dungeon in the first episode of Solo Leveling. When we walked towards the centre, we could see the ominous entrance to the double dungeon with two knights guarding the door.

When we pushed apart the door to the dungeon, the Statue of God greeted us with its creepy smile along with a statue holding the Cartenon Temple’s commandments, just like in the story. With the dark blue ambient light and “DunGeoN” from the official original soundtrack playing in the background, it’s hard not to feel at least a little spooked and in awe of this dungeon.

The rest of the exhibition featured more iconic scenes and characters from the series, including the Poisoned-Toothed Giant Desert Centipede, the Blue Venom-Fanged Kasaka of the Hapjeong Subway Dungeon, Jinwoo reviving the Shadow Army and Igris as a Shadow Monarch.

Every exhibit featured immersive details, such as layered cutouts, figures with realistic glowing eyes, a pool made from resin and cobwebs draped across the walls. The 3D illusion of the Mana Crystals in one of the scenes’ backgrounds was especially amazing. There were also interactive props of Jinwoo’s weapons which we could hold in our own hands for some fun photos and tomfoolery.

Right outside the exhibition is the merchandise store with an expansive range of merchandise, including travel tumblers, poker cards, plushies of Jinwoo’s Knight Killer Dagger, coasters, acrylic puzzles, lanyards, clothing, bags and more.

Solo Leveling Café Experience

The Solo Levelling café can be found directly across from the exhibition hall. Visitors can dine both in and outside the cafe, which was decorated with cute chibi standees and colourful banners that included graphics of Solo Leveling’s antagonists.

The tables had an altar, blue tealights and a different acrylic character stand for each table, with ours being Hae-In. Coincidentally, we ordered a Spicy Mango Soda which was a Hae-In-themed drink. It tasted sour and sweet, with a minty aftertaste.

We also got the Wild Berry Soda that comes with the RM80 package. It came with a vial that looked similar to the Healing Potion that Jinwoo uses in the series. We got to pour it into an iridescent glass with the rest of the soda, which was a cool-looking process. It tasted like a pleasing blend of blueberries and strawberries.

Our first main course was the Shadow Monarch Dark Spaghetti. The black spaghetti symbolising the shadows was presumably made of squid ink spaghetti, while the blue sauce tasted similar to rose sauce and referenced Jinwoo’s blue-coloured theme. It tasted absolutely amazing and was our favourite dish.

The other main course we had was Jinwoo’s Level Up Burger, with his signature Knight Killer Dagger stabbed into the top of the bun. It was surprising to see sliced dragon fruit in a burger, but it fit well into the flavours of the burger. There are also two other dishes that can be ordered: the Double Dungeon Black Rice and Igris Fiery Omelette Rice.

For dessert, we had a chibi Jinwoo-themed Fruit Parfait with Cookie. The cookie tasted interesting with the Greek yoghurt and ice cream blend. There was also blue jelly on the bottom of the glass cup.

We also had an adorable chibi Igris Molten Lava Cake. The red and blue theme of this dessert could be a nod to how Igris and Jinwoo are connected. Unfortunately, this was a bit too sweet for our taste, but it might fit someone with a sweeter tooth. At the end of the experience, we got to bring some of the merchandise home.

The Solo Leveling Experience was overall really fun and immersive. It was such a joy to have a real-life representation of the series and indulge in the food and atmosphere of the ACO Lab café. You can tell they put a lot of heart and soul into bringing the series to life to bring a fun experience for Solo Leveling fans.

The Solo Leveling Experience runs from now until 11 March, from 10am to 10pm every day at ACO Lab in Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Tickets to the experience can be purchased via Ticket2U.
