Sonic The Hedgehog Joins Magic: The Gathering’s Secret Lair This July

Wizards of the Coast is teaming up with SEGA to release a new Sonic the Hedgehog collection for Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair, the pop culture-focused sub-brand of Magic: The Gathering.

The collection will feature three distinct drops:

Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes

The Friends & Foes drop includes seven new designs featuring characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, with select cards even being illustrated by fan-favourite Sonic artists.

  • 1x Knuckles the Echidna
  • 1x Amy Rose
  • 1x Dr. Eggman
  • 1x Miles ‘Tails’ Prower
  • 1x Shadow the Hedgehog
  • 1x Sonic the Hedgehog

Secret Lair x Sonic: Chasing Adventure

This drop reimagines seven iconic Magic: The Gathering cards with a Sonic the Hedgehog-inspired spin.

  • 1x Deadly Dispute
  • 1x Unexpected Windfall
  • 1x Sol Ring
  • 1x Treasure token

Secret Lair x Sonic: Turbo Gear

This drop combines iconic items from Sonic the Hedgehog with some of Magic: The Gathering’s most powerful artifacts, creating a set of cards that pair seamlessly with the Friends & Foes drop.

  • 1x The Reaver Cleaver as “Knuckles’s Gloves”
  • 1x Swiftfoot Boots as “Air Shoes”
  • 1x Myr Battlesphere as “Egg Hammer”
  • 1x Hammer of Nazahn as “Piko Piko Hammer”

The Secret Lair x Sonic the Hedgehog drops are available in regular and foil editions, and will go on sale via MagicSecretLair.com from July 14.
