Netflix’s hit series Wednesday will officially return to our screens this August, with Part 1 of Season 2 debuting on August 6, followed by Part 2 on September 3. The news was revealed during Tudum 2025, a livestream event announcing the latest updates from Netflix’s productions, which aired on May 31.
In the new season, Wednesday will face a new supernatural mystery, though she won’t be alone, as her fellow Addams Family members, Morticia, Gomez and Pugsley, will have expanded roles this season. Fans can also expect to meet new characters played by a roster of exciting guest stars – including Lady Gaga, playing the mysterious and enigmatic Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.
Aside from her role announcement, Lady Gaga also performed a medley of her songs at Tudum, including “Zombieboy,” “Bloody Mary,” and “Abracadabra.” The event also gave fans a sneak peek at the first six minutes of Wednesday Season 2, teasing what Wednesday’s been up to over the summer.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar shared with Tudum.
“Nothing is what it seems in Season 2,” creator Miles Millar added. “Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”
