Gempak Starz Announces Live-Action Movie Adaptation of ‘Under 18’

Gempak Starz’ iconic comic book series Under 18 is set to be adapted into a live-action movie sometime in the near future. The news was announced during the Under 18 x Klepet launch event, which took place last Sunday at Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (PBAKL) 2025.

The launch session was also attended by the comic’s creator, Zint Lu, who also held meet-and-greets with fans during the event. Details regarding casting and the film’s release date were not revealed during the stage session, but are expected to be announced in the coming months.

The Under 18 comic book series was originally published in 2002, telling the story of Ax, Kaiou and Yosi, three high school students who often cause trouble at school. Despite this (or maybe because of it), many teenage readers of the time were drawn to their unique personalities and the various incidents that take place over the course of each book.

More details can be found on Gempak Starz’ official social media channels.
