The highly anticipated second season of DAN DA DAN is screening exclusively at TGV Cinemas starting May 30th, 2025. Presented by Muse Asia, this theatrical premiere features highlights from Season 1, the final episode of Season 1, as well as the first three episodes of Season 2.
Not only that, this special screening also includes an exclusive interview with series co-directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora. Fuga Yamashiro is best known for directing the first season of DAN DA DAN, while Abel Gongara directed the first season’s opening theme animation, and stepped up to co-direct the second season.
Written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, DAN DA DAN follows Momo Ayase, a high school girl who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and her new friend Ken Takakura, who believes in aliens but not ghosts. An anime television series adaptation produced by Science Saru aired in October 2024, with a second season set to air globally in July 2025.
In this new season, Momo and Okarun set out on their latest adventure, traveling to a hot springs town home rented by Jiji, Momo’s childhood friend and former crush, with the goal to solve the mystery surrounding his family. Audiences will finally uncover the mystery left hanging in the first season’s finale — What lies behind the hole in Jiji’s house? What horrors are hidden beneath the quaint hot springs town that Jiji calls home?
Ticket sales for the theatrical premiere of Season 2 are now available on the TGV Cinemas website. Exclusive DAN DA DAN merchandise is also available at selected TGV Cinemas outlets, including the Sunway Velocity branch where the fan screening was held.
