Marvel Rivals‘ Season 2.5: Hellfire Gala update is set to drop this May 30, introducing Ultron as a new playable hero, along with new features, special events and Team-Ups.
The update will also feature a new map, Arakko, a once-thriving land transformed by Ultron into a merciless, mechanical world Our heroes, regrouping after the events of the last patch, must now join forces with Krakoa to save Arakko.
Ultron
Ultron comes to Marvel Rivals as a new Strategist who can summon an army of automated drones that obey his every command. He will also be the game’s first Strategist that can fly, adding a new depth to gameplay. Check out his full ability overview below:
Primary Attack (LMB): Encephalo-Ray | Releases a powerful energy beam. |
Ability (Shift): Dynamic Flight | Quickly dashes into the movement direction, entering free-flight mode. |
Ability (E): Imperative: Patch | Sends a giant drone to follow an ally. The drone will heal all nearby allies, with bonus healing for the targeted ally. |
Ability (Shift): Imperative: Firewall | Sends drones to grant bonus health to nearby allies, centered on Ultron and a targeted ally. |
Ultimate (Q): Rage of Ultron | Sends Drones to fire Encephalo-Rays, which both hurt enemies and heal allies. |
Team-up Ability: Nano Ray | Enhances his Encephalo-Ray to a Nano Ray that deals large amounts of damage to enemies, while also healing allies. |
Gameplay Updates
Further adjustments will be made to the Team-Up Ability system, with six new Team-Up Abilities being added, four being removed, and the members of one being adjusted. By popular demand, one of the abilities being added is the much-requested Jeff-nado Team-Up Ability.
Season 2.5 will also introduce a new feature that showcases hero proficiency avatars on the match hero select wheel. Two new personalization systems, Mood and Emojis, will also be added to the mix.
Limited-Time Mode
Launching on June 6 is an exciting new limited-time experimental mode, Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol. In this mode, six players can choose their own hero lineups, craft unique builds and enhance their heroes’ traits, before going into battle against other players.
